ESOP Retirement Income Calculator

See how your ESOP account, 401(k), IRA, Social Security, pension, and other retirement resources may work together to support your retirement income. Enter your current balances, contributions, expected retirement benefits, and income goal to explore a hypothetical retirement-income projection.

This calculator is for educational and illustrative purposes only and is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Results are hypothetical and are based on the information you enter and the assumptions used in the calculator.

The calculator initially assumes a 25% tax rate, 3% annual inflation rate, 4% portfolio withdrawal rate, and a generalized 5% annual growth rate for each account. These assumptions may not be appropriate for your situation. You may adjust them using the Growth % fields and Global Calculator Assumptions. Consult your financial advisor and tax professional regarding assumptions appropriate for your individual circumstances.

The Income Replacement Score and Score Guide are educational tools designed to help you compare projected retirement income with your stated income target. They are not financial advice or a determination of your overall retirement readiness. Actual investment returns and retirement outcomes may vary significantly due to market conditions, fees, taxes, inflation, withdrawals, changes in law, and other factors. Investments may lose value. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Understanding Your Income Replacement Score.

Your Income Replacement Score compares the estimated monthly retirement income generated from the information and assumptions entered into the calculator with your desired monthly retirement income. For example, a score of 100 indicates that the projected monthly income calculated by the tool equals the monthly income goal you entered.

The score is designed to provide a simple way to explore your situation. It does not measure every factor that may affect your retirement plan, including taxes, investment risk, healthcare expenses, longevity, changes in spending, or the timing and taxation of your ESOP distribution.

Ready to Look Beyond the Calculator?

A calculator can help you explore the numbers. A retirement plan considers how those numbers work together.
